A hotel on the picturesque English Riviera has been named among the cheapest places to stay in the UK - while still offering a touch of luxury.

The family-run Trelawney Hotel in , Devon, secured a spot on Tripadvisor's top ten cheapest hotels list. And room rates start at just £58 per night.

Despite its affordable prices, the Trelawney Hotel offers "luxury" bed and breakfast accommodation. The hotel is just 300m from Torre Abbey Sands, Torquay's main beach, and has received praise for its top-quality value and service.

The Trelawney offers a , all of which feature en suite bathrooms, TVs and complimentary beverage trays. Visitors have most often praised the hotel's cleanliness and freshly cooked breakfasts which are said to include locally sourced ingredients.

There's also lots to see for those wishing to venture out. Not only can families enjoy long, sandy shorelines and stunning views of Brixham, they also have easy access to Torre Abbey Meadows and Torquay town centre.

For those wanting to go even further afield, the establishment is perfectly placed for exploring the South Devon coastline and Dartmoor National Park. While it ranked fourth on Tripadvisor's cheap hotels list, it offers lower rates than the hotels above it, making it the perfect choice for a budget-friendly getaway.

One guest who stayed in June wrote a review: "Fabulous hotel. Fantastic value for money and only five minutes walk down into town. Liz and Paul, the owners are very friendly and are very good hosts."

Another added: "The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds really comfortable. A real home from home."

The English Riviera describes a 22-mile stretch of South Devon coastline. It is one of the UK's top holiday destinations, consisting of seaside resorts, rocky coves and picturesque villages.
