Chandigarh: Jasdeep Singh Gill, aged 45, has been officially named the new patron and ‘sant satguru’ of Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB), a prominent spiritual organization based near Amritsar along the Beas River. The announcement was made by the current head, Gurinder Singh Dhillon.

Gill, an esteemed alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, holds a doctorate in chemical engineering from Cambridge University. His appointment was confirmed in a statement by RSSB Secretary Devender Kumar Sikri, who stated, “Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon has appointed Jasdeep Singh Gill, son of Sukhdev Singh Gill, as the patron of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, effective from September 2, 2024.”

Gill will also take over as the Sant Satguru, succeeding Dhillon in this revered role. As Sant Satguru, Gill will be responsible for initiating new followers, a role that includes giving spiritual guidance and support. Sikri noted that Dhillon hopes Gill will receive the same warmth and support from the community that Dhillon experienced from followers after Huzur Maharaj ji.

The transition in leadership marks a significant moment for RSSB, as the organization continues its spiritual mission under new guidance.

Jasdeep Singh Gill will also succeed Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon as the Sant Satguru of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, taking on the role of initiating new followers. Baba Dhillon has expressed his desire for the same affection and support he received after Huzur Maharaj Ji to be extended to Gill in his new positions as patron and Sant Satguru.

Gill recently resigned from his role as Chief Strategy Officer at Cipla Limited, a position he held from 2019 until May 31, 2024. He has also been actively involved with Ethris, Achira Labs Private Limited, and Wealthy Therapeutics in various roles.

His impressive academic credentials include a PhD from Cambridge, a master’s degree from MIT, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biochemical engineering and biotechnology from IIT Delhi.
