Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's marriage has been 'over for months' as they live 'separate lives'

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage has reportedly hit the rocks, with sources suggesting they've been on the outs for months, according to reports. Despite maintaining a united front in public, insiders claim that the couple are already "living separate lives."

Lo, 54, and the Gone Girl actor, 51, have been separated since March. However, Ben remains "very protective of Jennifer," an insider revealed. Speculation about Bennifer 2.0's demise began circulating in May when Ben was noticeably absent from Jennifer's side at high-profile events like this year's Met Gala.

Affleck was also missing from the premiere of J. Lo's Netflix film Atlas, which coincided with the Met Gala month. Adding fuel to the fire, J. Lo liked an Instagram post about troubled relationships shortly after Ben's no-show at the Met Gala. The post read: "You can't build a relationship with someone who is disconnected from themselves," In the same month, sources told Page Six that Ben had become disillusioned with his marriage to Jennifer.

A source revealed to Page Six that he had "come to his senses" during their two-year marriage and wanted out. Further hints pointing towards a potential split emerged last month when in June, Jennifer and Ben listed their $61 million Beverly Hills home for sale, which they purchased together in 2023 following their 2022 nuptials.

The 'I'm Real' singer has been residing at their Beverly Hills property, while the 'Daredevil' actor has been living a few miles away in a rented house. An insider told People magazine that the 'Gigli' co-stars only "see each other every few days."

Adding fuel to the speculation was Jennifer's solo vacation in Italy in late June with her friends. Paparazzi captured her lounging on a boat, basking in the sunshine. She sported a cream bandeau top showcasing her toned abs and multicoloured shorts, completed with gold peep-toe heels.

Ben's absence from the Italy trip may have been intentional considering Jennifer's summer travel plans. Reportedly, she plans to spend time "with her children, family and close friends," according to Live Nation, as reported by People.

If things don't work out this time, it wouldn't be the first failed relationship for Jennifer and Ben. Prior to their recent marriage, the couple were engaged in 2002 after dating for a few months but called off their engagement and split in 2004.
