Commentary

Australia too experimented with some stuff. They are looking for an extra spinner but none of David Warner or Steven Smith impressed much. Marnus Labuschagne ended with three wickets and could come handy in this tournament. Other than that, their fielding was also not to their standards. With batting though they have clicked well. In their previous match the top order contributed while in this match, they got the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green and Josh Inglis get some runs under the belt. Both parties though have been leaking too many runs with the ball but expect the standards to be raised when the mega event kicks off.
A really good match it turned out to be. It came alive when Australia gave the ball to David Warner, Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne in the middle phase. Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed didn't miss out to the opportunity as it was raining boundaries at that time. The stand of 144 helped Pakistan get into the chase. Babar Azam though retired out on 90. Mohammad Nawaz then kept the momentum going but didn't get able support in the end. Pakistan have clicked a lot of boxes in this warm-up matches but would have loved to win this match.
