Three people died on Friday in an incident at a Sheriff Country Training Facility facility in Los Angeles, news agency AP reported.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said on X that it appeared to be a “horrific incident” and confirmed the deaths. She added that investigators were at the scene and efforts were on to find out more details.
Some media outlets have reported that the incident involved an explosion, but authorities have not officially confirmed the cause yet.
Aerial footage from KABC-TV showed the explosion took place in a parking lot filled with sheriff patrol cars and box trucks.
