SRINAGAR: A 67-year-old woman tourist from Maharashtra died while a local pedestrian was injured after they were hit by a vehicle in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Sushila from Pune. She and another person, identified as Mehraj Ahmed Ganie from Haril, Handwara, were critically injured in the accident and taken to hospital, where Sushila was declared dead by doctors.
Ganie, who was in serious condition, was immediately referred to SKIMS, Soura, for further treatment.
