NEW DELHI: Nine people were killed and four others injured in a collision between an SUV and a truck in Karauli , Rajasthan , on Monday. The accident prompted an immediate response from local authorities.
SP Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay confirmed the incident said, "There was an accident between an SUV and a truck... Nine people have died and four are undergoing treatment... We have notified their kin and their identity will be further verified."
The injured are being treated at a nearby hospital. Authorities are in the process of verifying the identities of the deceased and have informed their families.
