NEW DELHI: Former Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday launched a fresh attack on BJP , accusing the saffron party to gain power in Delhi by any means and warned Delhi residents that if they succeed that they will stop facilities such free electricity , uninterrupted power and ruin government schools and hospitals.
"Now they have made a plan that by gaining power by any means, they will stop the work in Delhi. Now the matter is in your hands. If you vote for them in the upcoming Delhi elections and make them win, then these people will definitely stop all the work in Delhi. Like-First of all, these people will stop your free electricity, power cuts will start again in Delhi which used to happen before our government came and government schools and government hospitals of Delhi will be ruined," wrote Kejriwal in letter posted on X.
He also alleged that he was imprisoned because BJP's government in 22 states couldn't work like his government making them insecure.
"Why do they want to stop the work in Delhi? I have done those works in Delhi which have never happened in the country till date. They have governments in 22 states. They are not able to do the work of Delhi there. The public there has now started asking them why the work of Delhi is not being done in those states. They have no answer to this. After our victory in Punjab, they started feeling that if the work of Delhi is not stopped soon, then their shops will be closed in the whole country and Aam Aadmi Party will come in the whole country," said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal then slammed Delhi's lieutenant governor accusing him to stop the development work in Delhi many times.
"In the last ten years, they tried to stop the work of Delhi many times through LG. But I did not let any of your work stop. I am educated. I have been a government officer before. So I know how to get work done in the government. When they did not succeed in that, they arrested me," Kejriwal added.
The former CM further described the treatment he received while he was in jail alleging that that they stopped his medication which could have killed him.
"They are so afraid of my work that they tried every way in the jail to ensure that I do not come out safely. They stopped my medicines in the jail. I am a diabetic patient and for the last ten years I have to take insulin injections four times a day. They stopped my injections in the jail. This could have damaged my kidneys and could have even caused my death," he said.
