NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to entertain a petition challenging the Assam government's push-back policy aimed at tackling alleged infiltration from Bangladesh .
The plea was filed by the All BTC Minority Students Union , which alleged that the Assam government had launched a sweeping and indiscriminate campaign to detain and deport individuals suspected of being foreigners, even without Foreigners Tribunal declarations, nationality verification, or the completion of legal remedies.
