CBI registers FIRs against passport officials for corruption

NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a FIRs against passport officials, primarily stationed at the Malad and Lower Parel offices, along with private citizens.

The accused are alleged to have participated in corrupt practices and issued passports using falsified documents. As part of the investigation, the CBI conducted searches at 33 locations across Mumbai and Nashik, during which they confiscated digital evidence pertaining to the passport documentation.
