NEW DELHI: Two senior citizens voters died of cardiac arrest at separate polling booths in Salem and Kallakurichi districts of Tamil Nadu on Friday.
R Chinnaponnu (77) collapsed after getting her finger inked. Her son rushed her to a govt hospital, but doctors declared her dead. In Salem Lok Sabha constituency, N Palanisamy (69) of Suramangalam suffered a cardiac arrest while casting his vote. "He collapsed in a polling booth," said a cop.
