As many as 19 members of the Christian community , including 11 women, have been arrested in Bihar's Kaimur district for distributing religious literature among students of two government-run schools without taking permission from the headmasters concerned.
Police said 17 of the arrested persons were from Telangana . Three four-wheelers, a bike and religious literature, including Bibles, photos and pamphlets, were seized from them. The arrests were made after a complaint by the headmaster of a school in Nibiya village.
The arrested persons were produced before a CJM court in Bhabua and remanded in judicial custody on charges of trespassing, obstructing govt work and propagating religion in an illegal manner, the SDPO said.
