A video by Pakistani content creator Rana Hamza Saif has gone viral. This Instagram video shows China's innovative palm payment system. Take a look at the video here

In the video, Saif explains that once a user registers their palm, they can make payments anywhere in China with a simple wave of their hand. This eliminates the need for cards or mobile phones, offering a new level of convenience and security.

During the transaction, Saif explains the registration process of the palm-based payment system and how it allows for payments across China with a with wave of the hand. Saif's friends react with a mix of astonishment and disbelief once the transaction is complete.

In the post’s caption, the content creator writes: “China Is Living In 2050”

RPG Group’s Harsh Goenka shows similar payment system

Earlier, in April, RPG Group chairman Harsh Goenka shared another video that also demonstrated the widespread adoption of palm payment technology in China. The video features a woman describing her experience using the system on the Beijing subway, highlighting its convenience and seamless integration into everyday life.

In the video captioned, “Technology continues to simplify our lives….,” the woman demonstrates how simple the palm payments are. First, she links her palm print to her payment accounts. Then, at the Daxing Airport Express Line subway, she swipes her palm over the turnstile for entry. The fare is automatically deducted from her WeChat wallet.

The woman says, “The whole palm payment experience was smooth. Even though palm payment is mostly limited for transportation for the time being, in future it could be adopted by stores, restaurants and many other venues.”

Tencent introduced its palm scanning payment technology, Weixin Palm Payment , in Beijing in June 2023.
