London-based tech startup Nothing has begun teasing a new edition of its recently launched Phone (2a) in India. A teaser went live on Flipkart on April 29 at noon, showcasing the familiar transparent design without revealing any details.

This comes as a phone with the codename ' PacManPro ' and model number A142P surfaced earlier this month, hinting at a potential 'Pro' or 'Plus' variant of the Phone (2a). While Nothing remains tight-lipped, the teaser adds fuel to these rumors.

' Community Edition ' project ongoingIn parallel, Nothing has been running its 'Community Edition' project since last month to design the "ultimate version" of the Phone (2a) through crowdsourcing. After the first hardware design round, it unveiled the 'Phosphorescence' concept - a glowing green phone using phosphorescent materials, selected from over 400 submissions.

The project continues in May with a wallpaper design contest, followed by packaging design in June and a marketing campaign contest in July ahead of an expected launch later this year.

While Nothing remains tight-lipped on specifics of the new 'teased' edition, the 'Community Edition' project and 'PacManPro' leak point to a possible souped-up 'Pro' or 'Plus' variant enhancing the already impressive hardware.
