Hey New York Times, 'This was a TERRORIST ATTACK plain and simple': US government's Foreign Affairs Committee corrects NYT on Pahalgam attack

The US government has strongly condemned the attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. The US President Donald Trump condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam. The President called PM Narendra Modi and expressed "condolences at the loss of innocent lives in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir ." Not just this, showing its unequivocal support to India, the US government's Foreign Affairs Committee went on to correct the American publication New York Times that used the word Militants in an article instead of terrorists.

A headline of an article on Pahalgam killings in New York Times said: 'At Least 24 Tourists Gunned Down by Militants in Kashmir'. Quoting the screenshot of the same, the America's Foreign Affairs Committee said, "Hey, @nytimes we fixed it for you. This was a TERRORIST ATTACK plain and simple. Whether it’s India or Israel, when it comes to TERRORISM the NYT is removed from reality."

As to those wondering what is the US government's House Committee on Foreign Affairs? The United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs, also known as the House Foreign Affairs Committee, is a standing committee of the U.S. House of Representatives with jurisdiction over bills and investigations concerning the foreign affairs of the United States.

Earlier in a post on Truth Social, the US President Trump said, "Deeply disturbing news out of Kashmir. The United States stands strong with India against Terrorism. We pray for the souls of those lost, and for the recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi, and the incredible people of India, have our full support and deepest sympathies. Our hearts are with you all!" he said in a post on Truth Social."

The Russian President Vladimir Putin also condemned the attack. "Esteemed Mrs President, Esteemed Mr Prime Minister, Kindly accept the sincere condolences over the tragic consequences of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, whose victims were civilians — citizens of various countries. This brutal crime has no justification whatsoever. We expect that its organisers and perpetrators will face deserved punishment. I would like to reiterate our commitment to further increasing cooperation with Indian partners in fighting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. Please convey words of sincere sympathy and support to the near and dear ones of the deceased, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery of all injured," he said in a statement released by the Russian embassy.
