Danielson Shares Insights Into His AEW and WWE World Championship

Following his recent victory over Swerve Strickland , Bryan Danielson has hit a record and is counted as the fourth wrestler to hold a World Champion in WWE and AEW. Appearing in an interview with Justin Barrasso of “Undisputed” Danielson, he took a moment to compare the experiences of winning titles at these two promotions. “It's interesting to see all the differences and similarities between winning the belt now in AEW to winning the belt 10 years ago at WrestleMania 30” he recalled talking about the subject. He pointed out a particularly odd similarity, that is, his neck problem.

He recalled how, back in December 2013, he was informed he would need neck surgery just before his iconic WrestleMania 30 match. He described the pain he was in at that time and how it influenced his decision-making regarding the timing of his surgery. Danielson also recounted a dramatic moment from his WWE Championship reign. Just one day before he was scheduled to defend his title in a Falls Count Anywhere match, his arm finally gave out on him.

Now, as the AEW World Champion, Danielson faces similar neck problems and expects to need surgery soon. Despite the physical challenges, he considers both championship moments to be “super cool.” However, he noted a significant difference. At WrestleMania, his wife, Brie Garcia, wasn’t allowed to be in the ring with him. “This time at Wembley, I was filled with joy and gratitude,” he said, highlighting how meaningful it was to share the moment with his family.

The WWE star had also planned a special moment with his four year old son saying that the little one was too excited to sit still. It’s these personal touches that elevate wrestling beyond just a sport. It’s a heartfelt experience filled with both victories and chaos.

Danielson’s journey through pain, triumph, and family emphasizes not only his commitment to wrestling but also the significance of having loved ones alongside you during life’s biggest moments. Fans have always admired his resilience and commitment towards wrestling and are eagerly waiting to see him in the ring again.
