Masik Shivratri is dedicated to worship Lord Shiva . On this sacred day, devotees offer prayers to Lord Shiva with immense devotion and dedication. Maisk Shivratri falls every month on Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha. This month, it will be Masik Shivratri of Jyestha Month which is being observed on June 5, 2024.

Masik Shivratri 2024: SignificanceMasik Shivratri holds a great religious significance among Hindus. This day is purely dedicated to worship Lord Shiva. He is one of the most compassionate god, who get easily pleased by the devotees by just offering one Bel Patra. He is known as the destroyer but he is the greatest of givers also, who fulfill all the desired wishes of his devotees. Masik Shivratri falls once in a month and devotees observe fast and offer prayers to Lord Shiva.

Chaturdashi is one of the most auspicious Tithi and Mahashivratri which falls in the month of Phalguna is one of the major festivals of Hindus. It is believed that devotees who worship Lord Shiva with immense devotion and pure intentions, Lord Shiva bestow them with happiness, good health, good fortune and fulfill all the desired wishes.

Masik Shivratri 2024: Puja Rituals1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Take a wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Shiva or Shivlingam if you have it at home inside a bowl.
3. Take essential things - Bel Patra, Milk, Curd, Honey, Sugar Powder and Ghee and perform Rudrabhishekam.
4. Then perform Jalabhishekam and offer garland and flowers.
5. Offer home made sweets and light a diya with desi ghee.
6. Chant Panchakshari Mantra or Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra 108 times.
7. Devotees must visit Shiva temple and perform Rudrabhishekam to Shiva lingam and seek blessings of Lord Shiva.
8. In the evening after performing puja and aarti to Lord Shiva then you can break your fast and eat sattvik food.
