Masik Durgashtami June 2024 : Durgashtami is dedicated to worship Goddess Durga. It occurs every month month on Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha. On this auspicious day, devotees worship Goddess Durgaand observe fast to seek blessings of Maa Durga. This month, Masik Durgashtami is going to be observed on June 14, 2024 in the month Jyeshtha.

Masik Durgashtami 2024: Significance
Masik Durgashtami holds an immense religious significance among Hindus. This day is purely dedicated to worship Goddess Durga and devotees observe strict fast and offer prayers to the Goddess. This day falls on Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha and this time it will be more special as it is going to occur in the month of Jyeshtha and this month has its own importance in Hindu religion.
Ashtam Tithi holds a great significance and devotees perform various puja rituals to please Durga Mata. They recite Durga Saptashati, feed small girls below 10 years, visit Durga mata temple and unmarried girls who are looking for the perfect partner and have an urge to get married soon, they must observe fast on this auspicious day and offer bhog prasad and shringar to Goddess Durga.
Masik Durgasthami 2024: Puja Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath.
2. Clean the house and puja room.
3. Prepare bhog prasad of halwa, poori and chana.
4. Place an idol of Goddess Durga and light a diya in front of the idol.
5. Offer hibiscus flower garland or just flowers, meetha paan, dry fruits, and 5 types of seasonal fruits.
6. Recite Durga Saptashati Paath along with Kavach, Argala, Keelak.
7. Chant few Vedic Mantras dedicated to Goddess Durga.
8. Chant Durga Chalisa and Durga Aarti.
9. In the evening, devotees must go to temple and offer Shringar items to Maa Durga and then break their fast with sattvik food.
