Metro railways, Kolkata recruit people from the field of sports and art to beat unemployment and promote extra-curricular

On June 28, 2024, 13 sportspersons excelling in chess, cricket, football, basketball and table tennis and two experts from the field of music and dance joined Metro railways. Metro Railway has put emphasis o­n recruitment of efficient staff in different categories through Railway Recruitment Board and Railway Recruitment Cell. It not o­nly helps Metro Railway but also contributes a lot to ease out the unemployment problem in the country.

The 15 newly recruited staff were felicitated by P Uday Kumar Reddy, general manager, Metro Railway. Terming all these sportspersons as everyone’s pride, the general manager has expressed that in future too they will continue to make the metro fraternity proud.
