Samantha Ruth Prabhu: I have never seen myself as a good looking hot woman

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has long been one of the biggest stars in Telugu cinema, known for delivering back-to-back blockbusters and winning hearts with her girl-next-door charm. She later made a successful foray into Hindi entertainment with shows like The Family Man 2 and Honey Bunny: Citadel. However, the last few years haven’t been easy for the actress. From going through a high-profile divorce with actor Naga Chaitanya to being diagnosed with the autoimmune condition Myositis, life threw several challenges her way. But Samantha isn’t one to back down. Today, she’s not only acting but also exploring new avenues, including turning producer. She recently released her first film as a producer titled Shubham and is also working on a web series called Rakht Brahmand.

Talking about it during her conversation with Galatta Plus when asked if she was making a statement through the song she said that as much as people think that she is making a statement for others, she took up the song as a challenge. She also added that all through her life she never saw herself as a good looking hot woman and Oo Antava was an opportunity for her to see if she could fake it and pull it off.

She also revealed that she was surprised when the song was offered to her as her belief was who would think of her for a special song, where she had to look hot. As she has always played the cute, bully, the girl next door kind of roles. She also stated that the song was also not the steps- it was more about the attitude , the fierce confident girl who was comfortable in her sexuality which in real life she isn't.
