Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's Andaz Apna Apna mints over Rs 1 crore in the weekend

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's 1994 cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna has made a triumphant return to the big screen, earning over Rs 1 crore during its re-release weekend in April 2025. The film's day-wise collections stood at Rs 28 lakh on Friday, Rs 43 lakh on Saturday, and Rs 47 lakh on Sunday, culminating in a total of Rs 1.18 crore as per Sacnilk.

Originally released in 1994, Andaz Apna Apna was considered an average performer at the box office. However, over the years, it has garnered a cult following, with fans cherishing its quirky humor and memorable characters. Recognizing its enduring popularity, the film was re-released in April 2025 in a digitally restored 4K version with Dolby 5.1 sound, offering both nostalgia for longtime fans and a fresh experience for new audiences.

Andaz Apna Apna was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and also featured Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon,Paresh Rawal, Viju Khote Shehzad Khan and Shakti Kapoor with cameos by Govinda and Juhi Chawla.

During an interview around his birthday in March, Aamir Khan confirmed that the work on part 2 of the film has begun with Santoshi writing the script for it.
