Odisha police constable recruitment 2024: Vacancies increased to 2,080, check details here

The State Selection Board (SSB) of Odisha Police has increased the number of vacancies to be filled through the Sepoy/Constable recruitment examination, 2024. According to the latest notification, 720 vacancies have been added across Odisha Police battalions, bringing the total to 2,080. Previously, the total number of vacancies was 1,360.

The official notice reads, ‘In the meantime, Government have further sanctioned 720 posts different Battalions. Now, the final total number of vacancies for the posts of Sepoys/ Constables is 2080’.

As per the information, the SSB Odisha has recently extended the last date to apply for the Odisha Constable recruitment 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can now apply till October 30, 2024, on the official website, i.e., odishapolice.gov.in.

Odisha Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection ProcessThe recruitment process will consist of four stages:

• Computer-Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE)
  
• Measurement of Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test
  
• Driving Test
  
• Medical Examination.
  

The CBRE will feature 100 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks, with a duration of two hours. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, while no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

Applicants must be between 18 and 23 years old as of January 1, 2024. However, the upper age limit is relaxed for candidates from reserved categories.
