NMC issues notice for medical colleges regarding first-year MBBS admission details for 2024-25 session, check details here

The National Medical Commission ( NMC ) has issued a notice asking medical colleges to submit details of students admitted to the first year of MBBS programs for the 2024-25 session. According to the notice, medical colleges and institutions will be required to submit the necessary information through an online system accessible on the official NMC website, nmc.org.in. The Medical Colleges must ensure that all admissions in medicine courses falling under the NMC Act, 2019, are strictly based on merit and conducted in a transparent and fair manner as outlined in the Regulations.

College authorities are required to submit details of all students admitted for MBBS during the current academic year, 2024-25. The NMC has launched an online monitoring system to promote transparency and accountability in medical education. Using a unique login ID, all medical colleges and institutions must submit their students' admission details by November 8.

The official notice reads, ‘In order to effectively monitor that all MBBS admissions made are in conformity with the requirement of Regulations, an online monitoring system has been launched by the Commission. This initiative is made with the objective of ensuring faithful adherence to the norms of admission laid down in Regulations as also to further promote transparency and accountability in medical education. . Therefore, all the Medical Colleges/Institutions are called upon to submit the requisite information through an online system that can be accessed through the Commission's website [http://www.nmc.org.in]. The college authorities are required to submit the details of all the Students admitted for MBBS during the current academic year 2024-25.’

As per the notice, after November 8 the institutions will not be allowed to enter the details of the students in the Student Entry System for academic year 2024-25.
