Nagpur University unveils 2025-26 academic calendar for undergraduate and postgraduate courses

Nagpur: Nagpur University on Thursday released its calendar for the 2025-26 academic session, providing a comprehensive outline of key activities, examinations, and vacation periods for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The calendar applies to all university departments, constituent and affiliated colleges as well as autonomous postgraduate teaching departments.

According to the university, the undergraduate calendar will see the first term (odd semesters & annual pattern) commence on June 16, 2025, and conclude on October 17, followed by Diwali vacations from October 18 to December 8. The second term (even semesters & annual pattern) will begin on December 11 and continue until April 15, 2026. Winter vacation for undergraduate students will be from December 26 to January 3.

For postgraduate courses offered through the university's teaching departments, the first term (odd Semesters I/III/V) will also begin on June 16 but will extend until December 24. Postgraduate students will get their Diwali break from October 18 to November 8. The second term (even semesters II/IV/VI) will start after the winter break on January 5 and run until April 30. The summer vacation will be observed from May 1 to June 13, 2026.

The university has scheduled the combined winter 2024 and summer 2025 convocation ceremony for October 11, 2025, applicable to both UG and PG students. The last date for admissions will be August 4, 2025, with a provision to extend it to September 4 subject to approval by the Vice Chancellor.
