NEW DELHI: India thrashed Nepal by 82 runs at Dambulla on Tuesday to reach the semifinals of Women's Asia Cup .
Shafali Verma starred with a 81-run knock that came off 48 balls and was studded with a six and 12 fours as India piled up 178/3 in their 20 overs.
Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets, while Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy took 2 wickets each as Nepal managed just 96/9 in their 20 overs and were eliminated from the tournament.
On Wednesday, BCCI Women shared a video on their official X handle in which Shafali Verma and Radha Yadav relive India's resounding victory.
Radha Yadav starts by saying that they had an interaction with the UAE team during which Shafali Verma had said that a bowler will bowl atleast 1-2 bad balls in an over, to which Radha says that Shafali is capable enough to hit good deliveries also for boundaries.
Shafali then asks Radha about her bowling as her two scalps included that of Nepal captain Indu Barma , caught by Shafali herself.
Radha says that with the World Cup approaching doing even the small thing right would matter a lot and she's looking ahead, to which Shafali says that they have to win the Asia Cup .
Radha then asks Shafali that how she is maintaining her good form even though they have been playing continuous cricket for the past one month.
Shafali replies that she has been thinking about building an innings now hoping that she also finishes well for the team.
Shafali then asks Radha about her efforts in the field due to which she takes good catches and executes fine run outs as well.
Radha replies that she tries to enjoy her fielding and even her team also is now trying to enjoy their efforts in the field and carry out extra fielding and fitness drills, to which Shafali agrees by saying that they all try to learn from Radha's brilliant efforts in the field.
