Udupi: At a time when VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders were leading the Chalo BC Road protest, a group of Hindu youths from Ananthadi, Kodaje, and Mani in Bantwal spread a message of peace by distributing sweets to Muslims during the Eid Milad procession on Monday.
Sharing a video of the event, DYFI state president Muneer Katipalla expressed gratitude to these young men, stating, "These peace-loving Hindu youths upheld humanitarian values by distributing sweets. Despite the politically motivated tensions that began on Sunday, they chose to promote harmony instead of being swayed by hate. Our politicians and MLAs should take inspiration from these youth, who, through their actions, have given a fitting response to leaders like Sharan Pumpwell, Puneeth Attavar, and MLAs Bharath Shetty and D Vedavyas Kamath."
Similar incidents were reported across the DK district, where Hindus and Christians offered sweets to Muslims in celebration of Eid Milad
