Kottayam: Police will seek the custody of the three accused in the Subhadra murder case for a detailed interrogation after Onam. Police will submit an application to the Alappuzha first class magistrate court on Wednesday. The first accused, Sharmila, her husband Mathews and his relative Reynold will be subjected to custodial interrogation. The couple will be taken to the private firms in Alappuzha, Kochi and Udupi where they had sold the gold jewellery.
The couple brought, Subhadra, who was staying alone at her house in Kochi, to their rented house to rob her gold jewellery. They drugged her on August 4 and on August 7, when Subhadra realised that her jewellery was missing and she asked the couple to return them. She also said she would complain to the police. Following this, they murdered her. Reynold got the medicine used for drugging Subhadra.
