Bhopal: A 23-year-old MBA student was harassed and molested by her ‘friend' during his trip to the city in Feb. When she ended the friendship and became engaged to another man, the accused identified as Suraj Pandey, a resident of Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, called her fiancé and informed him about their relationship.
The woman's fiancé broke off the engagement, and her marriage, which was supposed to take place on April 18, was cancelled. The wedding arrangements were completed, and even cards were distributed. Fed up with the harassment, the woman approached Aishbagh police on Tuesday who said that a case has been registered.
Accused Pandey first lured the girl into his friendship trap via social media and in Feb, he visited Bhopal and molested her. Later, noticing a change in his behaviour, the woman stopped talking to him. When he continued to call and harass her, she informed him that she was engaged to another man. Irked, accused Pandey called her fiancé and misled her fiancé, which led to the April 18 wedding being cancelled.
