UAE Weather Forecast Today: Dubai Rains Pause, 'Unstable Conditions' End

After the United Arab Emirates, mainly Dubai, witnessed severe rain storms and flooding over the past week, the country's National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority has announced said that 'unstable weather conditions' have ended. Rains have stopped and locals are getting back on the streets.

The National Center of Meteorology observed that severity of rains in the UAE had eased Thursday evening and the forecast shows pleasant weather over the weekend. The agency held several meetings in the past week. The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Interior and other agencies were also a part of these discussions, aimed at evaluating the situation and taking precautionary measures.

This month witnessed the second spell of heavy rains in Dubai after the city was brought to a standstill in April following a sudden outburst of storms. On Wednesday, authorities announced flight cancellations and students and workers were asked to stay at home.


What is the weather forecast over the weekend?

More rain has been forevast in the UAE. Altough it is unlikely to affect Abu Dhabi or Dubai. The NCM on Thursday said that people in southern areas could see rainfall on Saturday. There are signs of showers on Sunday and Monday too.

However, the NCM adds that the rains will be light. The Windy weather app shows little to no suggestion of heavy rainfall over the five-day period.

On Sunday, winds could reach 45 kmph. Temperatures will peak at 41°C in Abu Dhabi and 40°C in Dubai.
