'Touched My Hand And Started...': 16-Year-Old Boy Alleges Assault In Delhi Metro

New Delhi: In a recent incident, a 16-year-old boy took to the social media platforms Reddit and X (formerly Twitter) to claim that he was being sexually assaulted in the Delhi Metro at Rajiv Chowk Metro Station. In his Reddit post, the boy described how he felt someone's bag on his back shortly after boarding the train at Rajiv Chowk metro station.

However, he soon realised that it was actually a man's finger that was rubbing against his back. Initially, he assumed it might have been accidental, but the situation escalated when the man proceeded to touch his hand and began rubbing it as well.

"I'm literally so weirded out rn I'm just 16 and travelling alone in metro WHAT ... just happened. If anyone could tag delhi police and mention details then message me. I will tell you everything in detail. I am at home right now and I asked the metro guards for help and they kindly escorted me to my train. I don't have a Twitter account and no instagram followers to reach delhi police so any help would be appreciated. It happened between 8:30-8:40pm in coach 7 on Rajiv chowk station 3 may. I was wearing a purple set of tshirt and shorts with chain in my neck and white shoes. The assaulter is wearing the same clothing as in the picture,'' the teen wrote in the Reddit post.

The 16-year-old later created an account on X "to complaint about my sexual assault."

"I just got assaulted in Delhi metro right now at Rajiv chowk metro station. I am a 16 year old boy and I was travelling alone in the metro. My original post was on reddit and people told me to post here and tag Delhi police so I'm doing this," he wrote while tagging the Delhi Police. As of now, Delhi Police has not responded to the boy's tweets.

In subsequent comments, he further elaborated on the details of the ordeal.

In the latest update, the boy mentioned that he had spoken to an advocate who provided information about the legal procedures he would need to go through regarding the incident.
