What we know about the Sanford mass shooting:
A 16-year-old, identified by authorities as Christopher Bouie Jr, opened fire at a Cabana Live Event in unincorporated Sanford, leaving at least 10 people injured. All the victims suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds. The teen was taken into custody and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center. He faces multiple charges, including attempted homicide, discharging a firearm on public property, display and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a minor.
As per an arrest report from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, a fistfight started inside the restaurant when the Bouie pulled out a handgun and opened fire at a crowd. A security guard immediately tackled him to the ground and took away the weapon. The teen was not involved in the fight.
