Vadodara: Roofs of at least five houses were collapsed in Gujarat's Vadodara on Monday. At the time of the incident, around 15 children were playing nearby. Fortunately, all of them are reported to be safe. The CCTV footage of playing playing near the spot where the roofs collapsed also surfaced online.
In the incident, a woman reportedly sustained injuries in both her legs. After receiving the information, officials reached the spot and a rescue operation was started. A rescue team removed the debris.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV. It took place at around 7 pm on Monday evening near Radha Krishna Park in the Makarpura area of the district. The roofs of the houses numbered between 30 to 35 were collapsed.
Chaos erupted in the area after the incident. The injured woman was admitted to a hospital. A preliminary investigation revealed that the balcony of the houses collapsed since they were old and were in a dilapidated state.
After the collapse, the municipal corporation issued a notice to the owners of the houses not to use them now as a precautionary measure.
