Actor Prakash Raj has cast his vote in Bengaluru on April 26.
After a month of campaigns by major political parties, a total of 2,88,19,342 crore eligible electors from 14 constituencies in Karnataka have begun voting in the second phase of the 18th Lok Sabha elections today.
The state of Karnataka is voting in two phases. 14 more constituencies from the northern half of the State will vote in the third phase, scheduled on May 7.
In the current Phase Two, the constituencies that will vote include Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumakuru, Mandya, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru Central, Bengaluru South, Chickballapur and Kolar.

Following his participation in the voting process in Bengaluru, actor Prakash Raj spoke to the media about the significance of voting, stating, "My vote represents my right and power to select who represents me, who will echo my voice in Parliament." He underscored the importance of selecting a candidate whom one believes in and said his choice based on the candidate's manifesto and the desire for positive change. Prakash Raj also spoke about the need of moving away from the isolating politics witnessed in the past decade.

He later took to his social media page to post a video, urging people to vote. He said "I have voted. I have voted for change, I have voted against hate. I have voted for a representative whom I believe will be my voice in the parliament. Please go and vote and make the change."

Prakash Raj's future projects
Meanwhile, on the work front, Prakash Raj will be seen in three of the most awaited Telugu films next year. These include Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan's action drama Devara, Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi-starrer action thriller OG, and Allu Arjun's Pushpa and Fahadh Faasil's action drama Pushpa 2: The Rule. He will also be seen in the Kannada film Bagheera.
