Bengaluru: A man in Koramangala was “tightly slapped” by two men when he along with his friends was going to attend a show, and have dinner. When the man was walking on the road, two men riding a scooty slapped him, and passed by. Stunned for a moment, the victim stopped to see “what on earth had happened”. However, the two miscreants did not stop there. They returned to cause a scene. The incident took place late in the evening.
The victim under the username of avi1299 narrated the horrifying incident on reddit. He said first he thought that someone was pulling a prank, but upon looking closely he realised that the accused were some strangers. He said the miscreants stopped 20 metres away from where he was slapped, and waited for a while. Then they approached us again to stop their scooty in front of us.
“The pillion got down, screaming in Kannada, and tried to slap me, but I moved away. We could smell the alcohol off this drunk individual from quite a distance. The man was far gone too,” he wrote in a post.
“He was angry because we were 'staring' at him and began to ask "HOW DARE YOU STARE AT ME!" in Kannada. This guy snatched my glasses from my face while saying "NOW HOW WILL YOU STARE!". He was also screaming "I AM A ONE MAN ARMY! I'LL TAKE ON ALL OF YOU!",” said the reddit user.
“We were all just shocked as to what was happening and so fast, too. One of my friends exclaimed in Hindi, "Ho kya raha hai?" and this guy lost it. He repeated the same line in a mocking tone, started to hit us again, and screamed about us being from North India,” he added.

Victim Chose Not To Respond
Further in the post, the victim said his group did not retaliate as they feared if the miscreants were carrying knives or any weapons or they were a part of a bigger group. The victim's group was also not sure “how the situation would end if we started to beat him and the police got involved”.
Despite not making any move, the miscreants were harassing the group by yelling, threatening and even kicking one of them. However, they ran off after a while.
"The Sad Part"
The incident took a ‘sad’ turn when the group called in the police who was not much “thrilled”.
“Now the sad part is that my friend could smell whiskey off the Emergency Response Police. The police asked us who we were and why we were in Koramangala. We explained how we got into this situation and gave them a description of the assailants. They mentioned they would check the nearby park and patrol the area, but that's about it. When we suggested they check the CCTV footage of any cameras nearby, they weren't very thrilled with the idea,” said the reddit user.
“We didn't have high hopes given how infamous Bangalore police is, and as expected, the case/inquiry got closed in an hour,” he added.
