First Versus Economy Class: Viral Reel on Food Requests While Flying Leaves Internet in Splits

Send Push

In a world where social commentary often takes centre stage, digital creators wield a powerful tool: satire. Recently, the internet erupted in laughter as Anwar Jibawi, a popular digital creator and actor, delivered a hilariously insightful sketch on the stark differences between the treatment of flight passengers in first class versus economy.
In the video, Anwar skillfully employs humour to magnify the interactions between flight attendants and passengers across different classes. Within the Instagram reel, we witness the comedic portrayal of a 'flight attendant' going above and beyond to cater to the needs of a first-class passenger. The exaggerated gestures and attentiveness reach absurd levels when the passenger requests the attendant to even wipe his mouth post-meal.
Conversely, the treatment of an economy-class passenger takes a starkly different turn, with Anwar depicting a scenario rife with disdain and hostility. As the passenger makes simple requests, such as for peanuts or a can of 7UP, he is met with derision and aggression from the flight attendant.

Take a look at the video:

The reel has amassed more than 21 million views and 1 million likes. Many took to the comments section to express their views. A user wrote, "And people say money can't buy happiness." Another added, "So true. Once you fly first class, you never go back." A third wrote, "I literally got pushed by the air hostess yesterday when I tried to exit the plane before business class folks after landing." A fourth said, "Truest thing I've seen all day."A fifth added, "Can only relate to the second one." A sixth said, "From attendant Anwar to commander Anwar." A seventh added, "I have travelled in both classes and although it may seem like a joke, it is a reality."
