Everett Double Shooting: 1 Dead, Traffic On i5

As officials look into a double shooting that occurred on Sunday, all lanes of northbound Interstate 5 near SR 526 in Everett are closed. There was a double shooting in the 1100 block of Casino Road, according to Everett police. During this event, a woman was hurt and one man died. After their car crashed on northbound I-5, Everett police stated they had discovered the shooter. The Everett Police Department reports that a man and a woman were shot and killed by the suspect. The woman was hurt and the male was killed in the incident. The man was pursued by police onto I-5 in the southbound lanes. As of the most recent report, all lanes were still blocked and police were talking with the suspect. For a while, the northbound lanes were also closed. About 2:15 pm, the lanes were once again available. Cameras from the Washington State Department of Transportation display trapped cars trying to do U-turns to get off the expressway in the southbound lanes.
