Bushwick Five Alarm Fire: Videos Show Large Blaze At Brooklyn Supermarket

A five-alarm fire has erupted at a supermarket in Bushwick, Brooklyn, with reports indicating that the blaze has extended to neighboring buildings. Videos captured smoke billowing from the affected structure. Firefighters are actively working at the scene to contain and extinguish the fire. Traffic has been impacted in the area.



Several witnesses took to social media to report the blaze.

"Fire on bushwick and cooper!! Had to evacuate the supermarket smh the smoke is coming up cooper!!" one person wrote on Facebook.

"This blaze has been burning for more than an hour, and has spread to at least 4 buildings, including a grocery store. There are no reported injuries, but is still considered a high risk to civilians," another one said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

"why is nobody talking about the absolutely massive fire in bushwick right now that is causing huge chunks of brooklyn, manhattan, and queens to be covered in smoke and smell like burning," a third one said on social media.

The massive blaze has reportedly engulfed five buildings, including a grocery store. Emergency crews are actively working on the scene as this situation continues to unfold. No injuries have been reported yet.

The Fire Department of New York City posted a video of its units battling the fire. However, officials are yet to confirm what caused the blaze and exactly how much damage has it caused.
