Jannik Sinner ended Carlos Alcaraz's reign at Wimbledon, beating the two-time champion 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 in Sunday's final. It comes exactly five weeks after the world No. 1 blew three championship points against Alcaraz in the Roland Garros final, but Sinner made sure he got his revenge at the All England Club.
The Spaniard had not lost a match here since 2022, when Sinner sent him packing in the fourth round. Alcaraz was also undefeated in Grand Slam finals. But he was left frustrated, telling his box that Sinner was "playing better" than him, before suffering a four-set defeat.
