Tommy Robinson back in court - just 9 days after he was released from prison

has arrived in court just . The controversial far-right figure, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is attending Westminster Magistrates' Court to face charges over his alleged conduct towards two journalists from the Daily Mail.

He is accused of two counts of harassment causing fear of violence between August 5 and 7 2024. Last week, Robinson was released from prison part-way through his 18-month sentence for contempt of court. Robinson pleaded guilty after he had made multiple breaches of an injunction in 2021, which barred him from who successfully sued him for libel.

His lawyers told the court that to comply with the order to enable him to be released before his original July 26 release date.

Following his release, Robinson said: "Feel good, unfortunately in a country that doesn't believe in free speech for citizen journalists, this place is an occupational hazard."

Robinson claimed to have never been convicted by a jury, with his guilty plea negating the need for a jury trial.

He added: "I have never been convicted by a jury. Every one of my convictions have been handed down to me by judges.

"That gagging order, these attempts at censorship, to silence, to cancel people, it hasn't worked, you've attempted to lock up the truth."

He added: "I knew exactly what I was doing when I released that film, I knew I would end up in there and I also knew it would give them the opportunity to pull every trick they wanted to."

Robinson was seen arriving at court with a microphone in hand and earlier this morning, posted a video onto his X account which showed him travelling to court with the caption: "On the way to court for another round of LAWFARE."

The far-right activist has vowed to organise a free speech festival in London for supporters later in the year.

Robinson is facing a separate trial in October next year over an accusation that he failed to provide the Pin for his mobile phone when stopped by Kent Police in Folkestone in July 2024.
