
on the hunt for their next adventure at sea will have to look no further than a AmaWaterways has officially christened its newest luxury river cruise ship, AmaSintra, which has embarked on its inaugural voyage along the picturesque
The ship is a sister to the AmaDouro, which debuted in 2019. With the ability to carry 102 passengers the ship has 51 staterooms which come equipped with an outside balcony and large floor-to-ceiling window. Holidaymakers can also unwind in the sun deck pool, relaxing lounge space or you can fit in a holiday workout in the fitness room as AmaSintra cruises through and .
Starting this year, the brand new ship will sail through the stunning Douro River from March to December each year.
The enchanting cruise calls at Porto, Regua and then crosses the border to the historic Spanish city of Salamanca.
Hailed as one of Spain's most beautiful cities, Salamanca has turreted palaces and is renowned for its sandstone buildings.
Along the stunning routes guests can immerse themselves in local wine tastings and excursions through Portugal's oldest wine-producing regions.
In the main restaurant, cruisegoers can expect to find regionally-inspired cuisine along with worldwide favourites.
Those who are wishing for a longer time away can opt to extend their stay with a three-night land stay in Lisbon before joining the cruise.
Cruises aboard AmaSintra start from £2,927 per person for a round-trip sailing from Porto.
