is in pole position to win his first today. The Northern Irishman is two strokes ahead of Bryson DeChambeau , having during yesterday's third round.
Here are the 10 prizes that are up for grabs should McIlroy see off DeChambeau.
Green jacket
The green jacket is the Masters' most famous prize. The blazer, which costs organisers only £196 to buy from an outsourced tailoring company, was the brainchild of former golfer Bobby Jones when the Masters was launched in 1933. Every champion since has been handed one during the trophy presentation.
The jacket has an engraved golf nameplane inside and the winner is permitted to take it home for a year. After that, it remains permanently at Augusta.
Prize money
McIlroy will claim the £3.2million ($4.2m) prize if he fends off DeChambeau to win his first Masters. Participants share a total prize pot of £16m ($21m).
Trophy
The Masters trophy is made of 900 pieces of silver and depicts the iconic Augusta National clubhouse. It is kept in the clubhouse and features the engraved names of each champion and the runner-up. The champion receives a smaller replica version to keep at home.
Champions dinner
One of the most exclusive dinners is held on the Tuesday of the week in which the tournament takes place. Only former champions are invited to dine and the previous year's champion sets the menu. Each dinner is held in honour of the reigning champion, with Scottie Scheffler hosting this year.
Gold locket
A little-known prize is a gold locket, handed to the winner as a certificate of their membership. It features the design of the Augusta clubhouse. However, the champion only receives it after they have hosted the Champions Dinner the next year.
Champions-only range
The tournament practice facility is longer and more updated than the Champions-only range. However, many former winners still enjoy its privacy and status.
Champions locker room
Each champion has access to an exclusive locker room only for those who have won the Masters. However, due to the small space, the lockers are shared.
Augusta membership
Champions are granted honorary membership to the Augusta National Golf Club. That is not the same as a full membership, though, which is reserved for the very best of business, politics and entertainment and is invite-only. There are only around 300 full members and Augusta National work hard to keep the list a secret.

World ranking points
One hundred ranking points are up for grabs for the Masters champion. That is the same as every major championship. McIlroy is 108 points off world No. 1 Scheffler.
Five-year Major qualification
Masters winners get five years of unconditional access to all majors and PGA Tour events, regardless of form or ranking. That means McIlroy, or whoever wins today, will automatically qualify for the Masters, the PGA Championship, the US Open and the Open Championship until 2030.
