Carlos Alcaraz will link up with Emma Raducanu today as the US Open mixed doubles tournament kicks off in New York. The pair have teamed up for the star-studded tournament, which features many of the world's best singles players. They will face top seeds Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula in the opening round.
It comes less than 24 hours after Alcaraz won the Cincinnati Open, with Jannik Sinner retiring from their final after just 23 minutes. The young Italian cited illness as the reason for his withdrawal and now faces a race against time to recover for the US Open. Sinner, the reigning singles champion, is due to team up with Katerina Siniakova in the mixed doubles event.
