Loyal fans of Sean 'Diddy' Combs have been removed from outside the New York courthouse following a fiery clash between critics after he was found guilty of just two of the five counts he was charged with. Despite receiving lesser convictions, the prosecution is still seeking a maximum sentence of 20 years. The 12 jurors in his sex trafficking trial continued their deliberations for just 56 minutes today (July 2) after struggling to come to a unanimous decision regarding count one.
The 55-year-old was arrested last September and was charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The American music mogul was found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, but found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The maximum sentence for these charges is 10 years in prison.
Throughout the trial, the jury heard from 34 witnesses, including ex-girlfriends, former employees, male escorts and federal agents - including from stars like Kid Cudi and Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Join us as we follow the latest updates coming live from the US courthouse.
