A major coffee chain brand with more than 2,800 UK branches has opened a brand new store this month.
Costa Coffee has announced the opening of its new Drive-Thru store in Bishop Auckland, which it says offers a convenient and welcoming destination for coffee fans. The new store, which opened to customers on October 10, is located in Auckland Leisure and Retail Park, and features a bright, modern interior with digital menu boards and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas, where customers can enjoy a leisurely lunch or a quick stop on the go. The new opening has created 15 new jobs in the area, helping to support local employment and the community's growth, Costa said.
Customers have the option of either dining inside or grabbing food and drinks to go, with the Drive-Thru lane providing a fast and easy way to enjoy Costa's handcrafted drinks, food and freshly baked pastries which are served throughout the day.
Caroline Sewell, store manager at Costa Coffee, said: "We're thrilled to open our new store in Bishop Auckland.
"This Drive-Thru offers the perfect mix of comfort and convenience, and we look forward to becoming part of our customers' daily routines."
The new store is open from 5.30am until 8pm on Monday to Saturday, and from 7am until 6pm on Sundays. Orders can also be placed via Click & Collect through the Costa Club app.
Costa Coffee opened two other new Drive Thru stores just last month, based in Alcester, Oversley Green and Ludlow, Rock Green, as well as re-opening its store in The Precinct, Coventry, following a refurbishment.
The latest openings brings Costa Coffee's footprint in the UK and Ireland up to more than 2,800 shops.
The brand was founded in London by Italian brothers Sergio and Bruno Costa in 1971 and it is now present in 50 countries around the world.
