Jason Kelce is eagerly anticipating a turnaround in his brother Travis' performance following a slow start to the new NFL season. Despite the Kansas City Chiefs boasting a 3-0 record and being tipped for Super Bowl contention, Travis has failed to shine in the initial matches.

His lacklustre form has been attributed by some critics to his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, as the pair have been frequently spotted at public events recently.

Travis, who co-presents the podcast alongside Jason, addressed these criticisms in the latest episode of their show. The three-time Super Bowl champion maintains he's "not worried" about his current form and is confident that everything will fall into place shortly.

Jason, a Super Bowl winner himself during his successful stint with the Philadelphia Eagles, concurs with his brother and expressed visible irritation at the criticism. "It's gonna go your way," the former centre asserted.

"It's gonna go your way, especially if you freaking keep being the guy you've always been. There ain't nobody that I've ever played sports with - and nobody that anybody's ever been on a team with - that has loved being out there with Trav more. It's frustrating for me to watch and have to listen to, but I can't wait."

Travis then expressed gratitude to his brother for his support, before Jason added: "I just can't wait - I can't ------- wait for it - to turn."

ESPN pundit Todd McShay has raised eyebrows with his critique of Kelce's recent form, questioning: "Are we not allowed to say that he's out of shape? That he's been partying all offseason? That he's been jet-setting around with the most famous person probably in the entire world? That he's drinking [and] going to the U.S. Open and he's got cocktails?"

Travis Kelce hit back, saying: "I've had a lot of catches in this league, man. I'm not worried about the catches and the yards, and all of that, I have the most fun when I get the ball thrown my way, I mean, who doesn't?

"It has everything to do with execution and just making sure we're doing everything we can to win these football games, that's always going to be the goal. I think everyone saw my drop in the fourth quarter and the crucial third down, just trying to do too much before putting the ball away."

Travis Kelce also reflected on the need for clutch plays: "That's probably the biggest thing for me is making the play in big-time moments like that. I think with how defences are playing us right now, I'm not really getting a lot of opportunities to make plays down the field, but not using that as an excuse.

"Moving forward, still trying to make sure I can help the team out in that regard knowing I've been that weapon for us in the past. Moving forward, everyone's just tweaking their game in the right direction."
