A traveller was left surprised after finding her cabin had one very clear highlight that made her stay more comfortable.
Elizabeth Wright shared her experience on Cruise.blog, after embarking on a three-night stay aboard the ' new Sun Princess ship.
The Sun Princess, which launched in February 2024, spent its initial season in before crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean.
With a capacity for over 4,000 guests, this 177,882 gross registered ton ship is the first of its kind, and it will soon be joined by the Star Princess in late 2025.
Wright pointed out that the ship features unique amenities, including being the first in Princess's fleet powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Onboard, she experienced dining options such as the cruise line's first Teppanyaki restaurant, Umai, and a magical dining experience called Spellbound.
She also mentioned Love by Britto, Princess's inaugural artistically inspired dining venture.
A standout feature of the ship is The Dome, a stunning glass-enclosed area that transforms from a daytime relaxation space into an immersive entertainment venue at night.
However, out of all the amenities of her lavish stay, Wright was particularly impressed by her cabin's balcony, which she described as "around four times larger than traditional balconies," allowing for more spacious outdoor seating.
With about 200 square feet of interior space and over 70 square feet of balcony, the writer felt her cabin resembled a cosy suite rather than a standard room.
As she concluded her stay, she acknowledged that the Sun Princess has set a "new standard" in the cruise experience, highlighted by the title of #1 Mega Cruise at the recent Condé Nast Traveler 2024 Readers' Choice Awards.
Wright also pointed out the variety of packages offered by Princess, noting that for just £50pp per day, guests can enjoy multiple benefits, including drinks, Wi-Fi, and specialty meals.
This pricing strategy enhances the overall cruise experience without straining the budget of its passengers.
