Gareth Southgate is surely using Bukayo Saka at left-back in England training as a smokescreen.
He has already been burnt by putting square pegs in round holes and he surely won't try it again.
Trent Alexander-Arnold in central midfield did not work.
Phil Foden on the left wing did not work.
Kieran Trippier at left-back did not work. Although in fairness, his hands were tied with this one.
There is nothing wrong with changing shape from four at the back to five, but at least put players in their actual positions.
Five at the back would work perfectly with Luke Shaw and Trent Alexander-Arnold at full-back.
It could also allow for Foden to play more centrally.
But early suggestions are that Saka will feature on the left while Shaw continues his recovery from injury.
Consequently, it will lead to England's early exit.
And it will eventually cost him his job.
