TV presenter Charlie Dimmock first joined the star-studded line-up of BBC's Garden Rescue in 2016 but she has been a familiar face on screens since 1997. The 59-year-old made her unforgettable debut two decades ago as a gardening expert on the BBC's outdoor makeover programme, Ground Force, where she remained until its final episode in 2005.
Charlie then went on to front The Joy of Gardening before hosting her very own series, Charlie's Garden Army, which only lasted one season. Then, in 2013, she went on to join some of Britain's most renowned gardeners on BBC Two's Great British Garden Revival until 2015. Charlie can now be regularly seen presenting Garden Rescue, in which she and a team of top designers travel across the nation and compete to create dream gardens across the UK. As the TV star has been a long-time fan favourite across the UK, here is an insight into her transformation throughout the years.
"If you're swinging a sledgehammer, you want to be comfortable! People say, 'Why don't you wear a sports bra?' But those are not the comfiest things in the world."

The presenter added: "I've been busy. At the end of the day I do have a real job. I'm a gardener. I do garden design. I've been doing a lot of work with dementia homes, at flower shows, giving demonstrations, working on cruises. I've been pootling around doing quite a lot of things."

She later told The Sun: "It's horribly unfair. If Alan Titchmarsh had developed a bit of a pot belly, no one would have turned a hair but because Charlie is a woman, she's considered to be a fair target."
