US President Donald Trump addressed speculation circulating over Labor Day weekend about his death after not speaking to the media for six days.
Trump was left speechless after a reporter asked during a Tuesday news conference how he discovered the rumours of his death.
After receiving no response from the president, the reporter asked if he had seen the reports, to which Trump confirmed that he had been briefed on the weekend health speculation. The news comes as the US President issues 4-word warning to Putin in new appearance.
"No ... I heard that. I get reports," Trump said. "I didn't do any [news conferences] for two days and [the media] said, 'There must be something wrong with him.'".
Trump also noted how he conducted a private hour-plus-long phone call interview with The Daily Caller's Reagan Reese on Friday, reports the Express US.
The last time the president made a public appearance was Tuesday during a three-plus-hour-long Cabinet meeting, where he spoke on a range of issues, from global conflicts to Taylor Swift's engagement.
Afterwards, he went uncharacteristically quiet for a brief period leading up to the holiday weekend, spending time at his Virginia golf course with his family.
Whilst he didn't make any public appearances, he remained active on social media and was pictured golfing at the club with family.
This follows the White House having to address growing worries about the president's health after photos surfaced showing his swollen ankles and bruised limbs, especially his hands.
White House correspondents reported on Tuesday that Trump requested them to stop focusing on his bruised hands during a conference.
It was disclosed that Trump suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, accounting for his swollen ankles, while his bruised hand was attributed to frequent handshakes with global leaders and his aspirin routine.
