Former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will be present to support his old team in Sunday's colossal clash against Rangers, despite being 'not happy' about how his departure unfolded. This information comes from radio personalities Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil, who both claim to have had conversations with the ex-manager following his exit.
Scottish football is still in shock after Rodgers announced he was stepping down. The fallout with Dermot Desmond was acrimonious, judging by the executive's harsh statement, and according to talkSPORT duo McCoist and Brazil, Rodgers has taken a short holiday in Rio to relax.
However, this break won't last long as it's reported he will be at Hampden on Sunday for the first derby of Martin O'Neill's second tenure.
Brazil even suggested some insight into Rodgers' next career move, hinting at a lucrative switch to Saudi Arabia.
Here's what the pair had to say on their morning radio programme.
Brazil: "I spoke with Rodgers. He's not happy. Oh, he's not happy. He's away to Rio (for a holiday)."
McCoist: "So, he is. I messaged him and he sent me a message back. I was trying to get him on to see what he was thinking. And he said, 'I am in Brazil. Not the fella, the country.' He said, 'I will speak to you when I get back. I am going on Sunday.'
"So, I sent him a message, 'That's great. Glad things are going well. Stay safe. PS, I hope you get pumped on Sunday.' I said, so, he seems in good form."
Brazil: "I said a few weeks ago. I know Rangers have got massive problems. There is something wrong with Celtic. You can just tell by the body language, with the players, Brendan and the fans. I didn't know the board were fighting with Brendan. That I wasn't aware of, but there's something not right here. Definitely something is not right.
"From what I hear, he is heading to Saudi. That's the rumour. There are so many rumours flying about. But I have been told that's where he is going."
